Sydnie Ozanus - The Qualities That College Students Should Have

Sydnie Ozanus has just completed her freshman year at Texas Tech University and is working hard as a pre-med student at the institution. College students need to possess a number of important qualities if they are going to get the most out of their studies, with the below being amongst the most important.

Organizational Skills

Studying at college brings with it a range of new responsibilities that you may not have had in high school. In addition to making sure that you arrive to your lectures on time, you now have to make sure that you organize your personal study time more effectively to cope with the higher volume of work and research that you are required to do. This means that college students must have stellar organizational skills.

Determination

Those who get the most out of college tend to set goals for themselves early on in their studies so that they have something to aspire to. These could range from working towards a particular Grade Point Average through to improving in areas where they are struggling. Determination is important if these goals are to be reached, so students must have the ability to focus their efforts.

Active Learning

Sydnie Ozanus has achieved a 3.4 Grade Point Average thus far in her studies at Texas Tech University. Actively engaging in your lessons is important if you are to get the most out of them. Don’t be afraid to ask questions if you are stuck and make sure that you take notes, particularly of information that hasn’t been provided to you via the lecture materials.
